A Piano Bench Gets Hit With Hollywood Glam!
By now you have caught on, right? I’m working like crazy over at Audrey Would!, which means you’re not seeing as much of me here… but actually, if you read Audrey Would!’s blog you’ll see I’m sort of combining both worlds into one. And that goes for the piano bench, too.
Months ago – maybe even a year ago – I bought this piano bench from Used Cowichan knowing all along it was doomed for a makeover at the hands of moi!
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a sneak peek already. Do you remember the ugly brown vinyl seat I mentioned? If not, this is it!
Poor thing. And look at how scuffed up the legs are. How could I not give it some love? I just needed some inspiration for its new look, that’s all.
As it turns out Audrey Would! will be joining the Vintage Fair in Victoria on the weekend of September 27 & 28…
You can check out the Vintage Fair Facebook page for more info. here, and you’ll find us upstairs in Booth #38 on the map here!
Anyway, this piano bench is one of a few pieces that has been given a makeover for our booth…
Hope you’ll pop by to say ‘hi’. We’re pretty excited to be debuting ‘new’ vintage pieces in our barware collection!!
Β Thanks for stopping by today!

Oh so gorgeous! Of course the colour is perfect and the print so glam
Thank you so much Bev! It was a lot of fun to make over this piece, and especially with the Vintage Fair in mind!
Beautiful Sheila. Love the turquoise! And a belated Congratulations on your Audrey Would site. I am planning to check it out in detail shortly.
Thank you Lisa! We’re having a lot of fun with Audrey Would – every day is a new day, and I’m loving treasure hunting with a purpose… I know you can relate to that! π
Gorgeous! Both glam and retro at the same time…nice job Sheila:)
Thank you, Shelley! So glad you stopped by… from one retro loving gal to another! π
Oh wow! It looks fantastic Sheila. Love vintage fairs, but I’m afraid that one is a little far for me. Good luck with it all!
Awe, thank you so much, Shauna! I sure wish you were closer – we could have a lot of fun, I’m thinking!!!
Fun! I hope your booth is a huge success Sheila! Great place to have your business seen and discovered!
Thank you, Rosa! We’re really looking forward to this – it’s exciting and scary all at the same time, but you’re so right, just for people to be able to see our collection first-hand is huge!
Wow, how fun!!! This turned out great! Won’t be turning my nose up at piano benches any more… awesome!
PS. following on Instagram now too! π
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, and for the follow on Instagram!! I’m headed over to follow back!! π
Stunning!! I want to be able to do that. Jealous. Also I want it.
Awe, what a nice comment! Thank you so much!!! π
What a gorgeous job you did, it looks great
Thank you! This was a fun project to do, and now that it’s finished I can’t believe it took me so long to get inspired. Honestly!!
Great idea! Wonder what my daughter would say if I “glammed” her piano bench???
How old is your daughter? It’s such a fine line, isn’t it. My daughter likes the makeover, but she doesn’t seem to want the bench for herself, LOL! π
Love it – gorgeous upgrade!
Thanks so much Dani!!!
Hello Sheila, I didn’t know about the Vintage Expo, thanks!! I should be in Vic too so if I am I’d like to find your booth and then finally meet you!! That piano bench turned out beautiful, nicely done!!
I sooooo hope you are able to make the Vintage Expo, Heather! What a great opportunity to finally meet face-to-face – I would love that!!!
