In contemplating ideas for the office, I showed you this rope vignette that I fell in love with. Thank you for the comments you left! Since then I’ve purchased a small fishbowl vase, and have it displayed on a stack of books (these aren’t my books – they’re in the ‘Hubby’ zone!), but it’s still empty… for now… and this spot will definitely be turned into a much more pleasing vignette! It’s all a work in progress at the moment.
What I did find that I’m pretty excited about is this hour glass!
The sand takes for sure 45 minutes to run through… it might even be an hour; I got engrossed in my work and didn’t really look up to see the last grains slide through!
But, I am thinking I can actually use this to pace myself. I have a habit of becoming intently focused on my work, and before I know it, a bunch of time has gone by without me moving, leaving my body stiff and my wrist aching. Not good. So if I use the hour glass as a guide, I’m thinking I might learn to take a break, you know, to get up and move around a bit. I’ve tried setting alarms, but they annoy me. So maybe a visual prompt placed in my line of sight would be more fun. What do you think?
