So I thought I would bring some creative ideas to you for catch-all boards…aka bulletin boards, or message boards, or even inspiration boards. Anyway, these are easy DIY projects too… and just in time for the weekend before school! ;-)

Isn’t it amazing the creative ideas out their for something as standard and functional as a bulletin board? I just want to roll up my sleeves and get cracking on creating some of them!

Great ideas Sheila. I was at a yard sale last Saturday and saw a huge embroidery hoop. I picked it up and thought humm..I know there is something I can do with this. Unfortunately I didn’t buy it. SO wish I had, now that I see in your post what I could have done with it. Great post sheila!

This is a wonderful post Sheila! These are the kinds of things that make our houses interesting without a lot of expense. We had a kitchen cork board done with the wine corks when we lived in ‘wine country’. The pretty clips you mentioned in the chicken wire board look like european clips we had for holding small white candles on the Christmas tree. The centre part poked up to grab the candle bottoms.

I saw a dramatic us of an old metallic bed base used with clothes pegs to hold notes in a family foyer. It was fantastic too.

Don’t you love reinventing used items for something entirely different?

      Hi Jan!
Thank you for leaving such a nice comment. You’re right, the clips do look like European candle holders… Clemens’ parents are from Germany and used to do their trees like that when he was a young boy up until he was about 8 he says.He remembers it still to this day and says there is nothing like it…

I love your description of the metallic bed base – it sounds fabulous! Reinventing used items is so much fun!
