Fabulous Fall from a Teen’s Perspective

Fall colours in the Cowichan Valley are so beautiful right now, just as deep and firey as you would imagine…
I wanted to capture them before it was too late. So I asked Kaleigh if she would take some photos for me…
These images, including the one above, are hers.
Here’s a look at our Fall colours from this special teen’s perspective.
I asked for a few shots of random leaves on the ground…
And anything that caught her eye…
Did the odd animal off to the side catch your eye? 😉
Maybe some grasses and branches…
Clusters of colourful trees…
Or even trees on the side of the road…
Whatever she thought would highlight the Fall colours…
In a way that captures what we’re lucky enough to see each day…
I think Kaleigh got it just right!
I bet we could put together a display like this…
With some of the fallen leaves.
And work the grasses and branches she shot…
Into vintage vessels like these!
Thank you, Kaleigh for helping me out today. I couldn’t have done this without you!
I hope you enjoyed Kaleigh’s tour as much as I did!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Lovely, Sheila! Hope you have a wonderful autumn week 🙂
thanks you two, great pics and nice blog
I think you make a great mother\daughter duo!
Thank you 🙂 She was so good about taking the pictures for me, and that was the best part…
Hello Sheila! I’m a Vancouver Islander too and found you though your interview on hodge:podge. Your blog is great and I’m having a good read – nice to “meet” you here in blogland!
Hi Heather!
Nice to meet you, too! 🙂 I really like the format of your blog – what a good idea! I went back and checked out a few posts, and really, really fell in love with your July 2nd post, “Project: About Me”… Great idea to take a picture of your son each year on that same dock – it’s a grow chart that isn’t drawn on a door jam! Thank you so much for leaving a comment… and how awesome that you live on VI too! Who knows… maybe one day we’ll get a chance to meet 🙂
