Today I just wanted to share something pretty cool…
These earrings are made from the inside layers of a shell.
Kaleigh presented them to me this morning as a complete surprise. She bought them at a local fair and thinks the vendor said they were made from an oyster shell… she couldn’t remember for sure if it was an oyster shell, but definitely from a shell!
They remind me of the inside of an abalone shell, except for the bumpy parts, so I’m thinking she’s right and we’ll go with oyster shell 
Aren’t creations from molluscs of the sea beautiful? Especially when they come as a complete surprise!
