I was out browsing the antique shops today when I came across this.
A mirror wasn’t what I was keeping my eye out for, but as soon as I saw this one I knew exactly where I would put it… that is, if I bought it.
I wandered around the store a little more, only now I wasn’t really seeing anything else, because my focus was distracted by this mirror. After a third pass I knew we would be going home together
To our master bedroom.
It’s a work in progress since the move, and we have to decide on what artwork will be going up, but what’s really lacking is a second window. And this is where the new mirror comes in.
Like this.
We have plans to change out the bedside tables and lamps, add a chandelier, maybe an area rug, and I’m currently on the lookout for a vanity style dresser… and eventually a king size bed, but all in good time. For now we’re working with what we have and making changes as we go.
So here’s where we’re at now with the addition of the new mirror.
It makes such a difference to the feeling in the room already, and that’s in spite of the lack of art work, the excess overhang of the duvet, etc.
What small changes have you made lately? Are you happy with the results?

I love it! It goes perfectly there!!!
I also bought a mirror very similar to yours about a month or so ago. It’s green and I’m not sure if I should paint it or not. I haven’t found a place for it yet, but I just loved it and I had to have it. Besides I payed only 10 bucks for it.
Have a blessed weekend!

How cute! I really love the look of a pair of mirrors behind a pair of bedside lamps. Really throws more light across the room, too.
works well as it creates more balance
Thank you Valerie! Now to figure out what artwork we’re going to put up
I recently learned of a new spray paint called “Looking Glass Paint”. It is the coolest thing! I turns any glass into a mirrored finish. Perhaps you can salvage another old window to make a pair.
Thank you! I’m always looking for products like this for DIY projects, and creating a pair would really work well in that space…
Great idea! I have a frame just like this salvaged from an old home. I had thought about displaying pictures in it but not painting and adding mirrors. Thanks Sheila.
