Kaleigh’s Room… More Changes

I know by now you’ve seen Kaleigh’s room evolve post (as in article) after post after post, and then a post or two more… but that’s because we’re focusing on her room the most!

So this is the wall we’re working on now.

Once the mirror was hung up we knew there would be more wall space to cover, but the wall application Kaleigh wanted was engineered as a Christmas surprise for her. So that’s why it’s not finished just yet.

And my friend Danielle Hardy from Urban Walls just happened to be in on the surprise. Danielle helped me to engineer the surprise, and she turned this experience into a Christmas gift come early, well early for me. Kaleigh had to wait until Christmas! Did I mention the customer service from Urban Walls is gold-star rated? Thank you so much Danielle 🙂

Do these tools give you any clue to what we’re up to? Okay, some of them are a little overkill, but we wanted to be prepared! And not long into the project we were down to using just the scissors, the tape, and a clean cloth.

If I showed you this photo, would you be able to guess what we’re doing?

Well, that’s it for now! I’m going to leave you guessing until we’re finished, and then I’ll show you the reveal 🙂

But until then, here’s a recap of the decorating journey of Kaleigh’s space…

    1. Awe, thank you Rosa! We were on such a roll yesterday when Kaleigh got home from school, but then we got unexpectedly interrupted, and that was it for the rest of the night. We never did get back to it! I can’t wait until it’s finished – she’s leading the way with this one, I’m just a guiding hand 🙂

  1. I’m thinking it’s a decal application of some sort but it will a trail of something, like stars or bubbles or just something pretty that you know she would like. I think it’s so special that you’re devoting your time to Kaleigh’s room and putting your heart into it.

    1. You are so right, and in this case, coordinating with my daughter’s schedule 😉 But it’s also been a really great process to go through with her, because we are spending some really nice quality time together, I get to teach as we go, and she gets a space she’s had the final say in all the way! The decals are awesome, and easy to work with. I can’t wait for another space where we can integrate a few more… hopefully the reveal will come soon! Thanks so much for your comment 🙂

    1. Thanks Kelly! I’m looking forward to the reveal, but my daughter had other ‘social’ plans this weekend! So the decals are in limbo until we can ‘rebook’ another session 😉 And I’m hoping that can be on the sooner rather than later end of this week!
