Moving On, Moving In!

Moving On, Moving In!

I’m so excited to let you know that we are moving on, and will soon be moving in! We are relocating, and have given ourselves the month to move out and move in! Now I get to be my own client with my moving in services… and I can tell you that I’m probably my very worst client! Help! I know it’s easy to talk about letting go of emotional ties, but now it’s my own ‘stuff’ we’re talking about! Empathy definitely takes on a whole new meaning 🙂

Here is where we will be moving.

We got the keys today!

I can’t wait to get started, and to share our progress with you.

Did I mention that we’re really excited?

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Oh, Sheila!

I’m soooo excited for you! Your home is SO BEAUTIFUL! Great curb-appeal!

I understand what you’re going through, but be calm. I know it’s hard, moving can be a bit stressful, but take it easy and don’t rush yourself. Everything will look great, just it takes some time. 🙂

I’m really happy for you. God bless you and your family there!

    Have a Happy week!

    • Hi Luciane!
Thank you. We are very excited 🙂 The SUV is packed up with its first load to go tomorrow. We’re moving to a community about 25 minutes away, so not that far really. Since we have the month to move we’re just making each trip we take count. And then we’ll plan one day to move all the big stuff and anything small that’s left over. I hope by the end we’re at least somewhat organized for our first sleep in the new home! 🙂 xo Sheila

  • Wow the new home is beautiful. You deserve this so much. You and your family will have so much fun making this yours! Can’t wait to see what you do. It looks perfect! Congratulations. So happy for you!

    • Thank you so much Tracey! Wow, how awesome to see your name pop up here 🙂 We’re taking our first SUV load tomorrow as I have to meet Shaw cable for hook-up… and so it begins. I will definitely be doing blog posts throughout the process, so stay tuned 😉 xo Sheila

    • I’m so pumped for the opportunity to take before and afters… tomorrow I’m taking all the befores of the clean slate – no furniture, just the bare rooms! And then let the moving in begin 🙂 Wanna come and work your magic with me??? 😉

    • 🙂 🙂 🙂 Definitely excited – today my Dad and I were putting up shelving in the basement for storage! This house is starting to empty out, and the new one is starting to fill up!

  • I was my worst client when I had to say an emotional good-bye to my house in Toronto almost 2 years ago. Plus my son moved out at the same time to start his adult life. And then I packed 2,200 sq ft house into a small trailer and very little of the sentimental stuff could fit in there. So I had to let go my emotional ties in order to start my new life here… So yes Sheila, I understand! I should have hired a stager to deal with all that!

    • Hi Valerie!
Wow, my move doesn’t sound at all like what you went through. That’s tough. Once you had let go of so much, how did you feel?
Thank you for sharing your experience! xo Sheila
