One of the first twentieth century designers I fell in love with was Tommi Parzinger (1903-1981). Tommi is considered one of the key creators of Hollywood Regency, and once you see his creations you will understand why his work is still sought after today…
…it’s the best of Hollywood glamor combined with Modernist practicality.
Here are some of Tommi’s creations for you to enjoy. I decided to focus on pieces that had a touch of feminine flair… well, just because.
The first is a velvet tufted chaise in magenta (circa 1950′s):
Wouldn’t it be nice to relax here and get lost in a great book?
I think this club chair (circa 1950′s) is so pretty, and very inviting…
Can you picture sitting here over a leisurely cup of coffee with the morning sun streaming through the window?
And speaking of coffee… or tea…
Don’t you just love this brass tea pot (circa 1950′s)? I am drawn to the clean, slender lines – simple with a touch of charm.
Or how about this 4-door commode (circa 1950′s)?
Isn’t it stunning? I can see this piece adding a touch of drama to just about any space!
I think this obelisk floor lamp is, in one word, perfect.
I would so heart this in my home…
For a finishing statement I’ve chosen this tufted pouf ottoman.
It’s just exquisite, and any room would be lucky to feature a beautiful piece like this.
There are so many show-stopping pieces created by Tommi Parzinger that it was hard to choose just this select few to share… It’s worth clicking on the links because they will take you to so much more!
Would you like to have a Parzinger piece in your home?

amazing design and still up to date
That brass tea pot is fantastic. I love that blend of materials and classic shape. I would love to see a coffee pot too!
